Tobacco Plain Packaging Act 2011
COMMENTS: The Tobacco Plain Packaging Act 2011 requires plain packaging of tobacco products. As of December 1, 2012, any tobacco products available for retail sale in Australia must meet plain packaging requirements. The Act sets forth requirements for every aspect of tobacco packaging, including shape, color, material, and lining; and permits no trademarks, marks, inserts, onserts, or other promotional features on tobacco product packaging.
