Sales Restrictions
Violators of provisions on vending machine and internet sales are subject to a fine not exceeding five thousand Emalangeni or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding one year or both.
The Ministry of Health is responsible for enforcement.
Location-based Sales Restrictions
The law does not specify a penalty for violations of location-based sales restrictions.
Minimum Retail Package Size
Violations of the minimum retail package size are punishable by a fine not exceeding ten thousand Emalangeni or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding two years or to both.
The Ministry of Health is responsible for enforcement.
Minimum Legal Sales Age
Violations of the ban on sales to persons below the age of 18 are punishable by a fine not exceeding fifteen thousand Emalangeni or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or both.
