Sales Restrictions
In schools, principals can reprimand, warn, and/or “take action” against teachers, education workers, and students who violate the ban on sales in schools. In addition, principals are given the authority to impose sanctions on teachers, education workers, and other parties; however, the sanctions that may be imposed are not specified.
For other locations designated as “smoke free zones” or areas, and thus where the sale of tobacco products is prohibited, any person who knowingly violates the smoke free zone is subject to a fine of up to 50,000,000 rupiah under Art. 199 of the Health Act.

Minimum Retail Package Size
The law states that violators of the provision requiring packs of machine-manufactured white cigarettes to contain at least 20 cigarettes/sticks “shall be subject to administrative sanctions in accordance with statutory provisions.” However, no further details are provided.
Minimum Legal Sales Age

Violations of minimum legal sales age may be subject to administrative sanctions consisting of: 1) oral warnings; 2) written warnings; 3) product recall; 4) recommendation for temporary suspension of activities; and/or 5) recommendation that the relevant agency takes action in accordance with statutory provisions.
