Manufacturer
The law imposes a fine from 20,000 to 120,000 Euros on manufacturers that place on the market tobacco products lacking the required health warnings and informational messages.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 11 and the FCTC Art. 11 Guidelines in that it provides for fines for violations. However, to more fully align with FCTC Art. 11 and the FCTC Art. 11 Guidelines, the drafters of the law should consider imposing higher penalties for repeat violations and additional penalties, including suspension or cancellation of business licenses.
Importer
