Analysis

A person who violates the prohibition on the sale of single cigarettes is liable to a fine not exceeding 50,000 shillings, or imprisonment not exceeding six months, or both. A person who violates the ban on tobacco sales by vending machine is liable to fine not exceeding 100,000 shillings, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months, or both. In addition, the tobacco products and the means of sale may be seized by enforcement authorities.
