Sales Restrictions
Violations of sales restrictions are subject to a fine from 1,000 up to 4,000 times the minimum daily salary prevailing in the particular economic area. Fines are doubled for a repeat offense within a one-year period. In addition, the entity may face temporary or permanent, partial or complete closure depending upon the seriousness of the offense, and a violator may be detained up to 36 hours, pursuant to stipulations in the General Health Law. Sanctions are enforced by the Secretariat of Health.
