E-Cigarette
“ENDS/ENNDS” means acronyms for Electronic Nicotine Delivery System/acronym for Electronic Non-Nicotine Delivery Systems recognized as categories of tobacco or similar products, and including any electronic nicotine or non-nicotine delivery system, whether electrically rechargeable or not, that contain replaceable or reusable cartridges in which substances of natural or synthetic origin are contained, which are used to inhale the vapors generated by the heating of that system.
For the purpose of this review, we will be using the term “e-cigarette” when referring to “ENDS/ENNDS.” For Paraguay, this refers to all e-cigarettes whether or not they contain nicotine.
Health warnings
“Health warnings” mean warnings intended for the consumer and the public about the risks and harm to health caused by the use of electronic cigarettes, vape pens, vaporizers and substances used for vaping and vaporizing and any other Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS) and Similar Non-Nicotine System (ENNDS) and exposure to smoke or vapor, which may consist of pictograms, images, wording and the like.
The definition of “health warnings” in this law is specific to health warnings related to e-cigarettes.
Cartridges
“Cartridge” means container for substances used in electronic cigarettes, vape pens, vaporizers and substances used for vaping and vaporizing and any other Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS) and Similar Non-Nicotine System (ENNDS).
Ingredients
“Ingredients” mean chemical substances that are part of a compound, intended for use in ENDS and ENNDS.
Product
“Product” means electronic cigarettes, vape pen, vaporizer and any other Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS) and Similar Non-Nicotine System (ENNDS) and the substances used with them.
The definition of “product” in this law is specific to e-cigarettes.
Tobacco products
“Tobacco products” means products prepared fully or partially by using tobacco leaves as a raw material, and intended to be smoked, spat, chewed, or used as snuff, vaped, smoked, or inhaled in e-cigarettes, vape pens, etc.
The law defines “tobacco products" to include e-cigarettes.
