Sales Restrictions

A violation of sales restrictions is subject to a fine of up to 100,000 Riyals, or imprisonment up to six months, or both. In addition, business operations may be suspended for one month for the first offense, two months for the second offense, and three months for the third and subsequent offenses. A corporate person is subject to a fine of up to 100,000 Riyals, without prejudice to the liability of the natural person. Further, a court may order the confiscation, re-exportation, or destruction of the tobacco products. Finally, the conviction sentence shall be published in two daily newspapers at the expense of the convicted.
Location-based Sales Restrictions

The law does not regulate the minimum size of tobacco product packages; therefore, there are no associated penalties.
