Disclosure Requirements
Disclosure by manufacturers and importers of cigarettes to government authorities of information on the contents and/or ingredients used in the manufacture of their cigarettes

All manufacturers and importers are required to submit an annual report which contains information on constituents and additives, including information regarding their individual concentrations.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it requires disclosure by manufacturers and importers to government authorities of information on the contents and/or ingredients used in the manufacture of their cigarettes.

The law aligns with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines with respect to disclosure by manufacturers and importers to government authorities of information on the emissions of their cigarettes.

Tobacco Control Unit
The law requires that constituents and additives be listed on tobacco product packaging, which the law describes as “disclosure.” However, this list is different than the disclosure contemplated by FCTC Art. 10.
To align with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines, the law should require that disclosed information be made readily available to the public.
