The law requires that any advertising form or item exhibited at a place or point of sale must contain warnings, pictograms and images occupying fifty percent of the item containing the advertising; may not make use of figurative signs or misleading terms such as "light, low in tar, mild”, or contain any direct or indirect incitation to consume tobacco products and derivatives evoking settings, characters and situations.

The law aligns with FCTC Art. 13 and the FCTC Art. 13 Guidelines in requiring health warning messages on permitted forms of tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship at points of sale. To more fully align, the law should require health warning messages on all permitted forms of tobacco advertising and promotion.
