Advertising and Promotion
Ministry of Health, with enforcement support from National Civil Police
Violations of advertising and promotion are punishable as “very serious offenses," and are subject to a fine of ten to thirty times the minimum urban monthly salary, in addition to the permanent loss of license. The law also provides that where unauthorized advertising materials are found, they shall be removed immediately and that unauthorized promotion activities will be immediately suspended.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 13 and the FCTC Art. 13 Guidelines in that it imposes penalties for violations of tobacco advertising and promotion provisions.
Sponsorship

The law also provides that where unauthorized sponsorship takes place, related activities will be immediately suspended.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 13 and the FCTC Art. 13 Guidelines in that it imposes penalties for violations of tobacco sponsorship provisions.
