The law provides a range of penalties for violations of the packaging and labeling provisions. The Authority may issue warnings, impose fines, revoke special licenses, or take other appropriate administrative measures. Where appropriate, criminal penalties may also be imposed. The Authority shall confiscate and dispose of the offending tobacco products.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 11 and the FCTC Art. 11 Guidelines with respect to imposing a range of penalties.
