Tobacco Product
Tobacco products: “all products intended to be smoked, sniffed, sucked or chewed as long as they are even partly composed of tobacco (cigars, cigarettes, pipe tobacco, rolling papers and prefabricated tubes of tobacco)”.
The definition of “tobacco products” in the law aligns with the definition of “tobacco product” provided in FCTC Art. 1(f).
Any product entirely or partly made of the leaf tobacco as a raw material which is manufactured to be used for smoking, sucking, chewing, or snuffing. (FCTC Art. 1(f))
Outside Packaging and Labeling
“Packages should be understood to refer to any container, receptacle or envelope in which tobacco products are distributed and sold to consumers.”
Decree No. 0284 contains a definition of “packages” which aligns with the definition of “outside packaging and labeling” contained in FCTC Art. 11.
Any packaging and labeling used in the retail sale of the product. (FCTC Art. 11(4))
