E-Cigarette
"Electronic cigarette" refers to tobacco substitutes that can be used to intake vapor through a mouthpiece, or parts of such a product, including a cartridge, a tank and the equipment independently of cartridge or tank. Electronic cigarettes can be for single-use or refillable.
For purposes of this review, we will use the term “e-cigarette” when referring to an electronic cigarette.
Refill pod
"Refill pod" refers to a container that contains fluid that can be used to refill an electronic cigarette.
Tobacco substitute
"Tobacco substitute" refers to products that in their mode of use are equivalent to tobacco products but that do not contain tobacco.
New tobacco and nicotine products
“New tobacco and nicotine products” are understood as products that have been placed on the market after 19 May 2014 and that do not fall into the following categories: cigarettes, rolling tobacco, pipe tobacco, hookah tobacco, cigars, cigarillos, chewing tobacco, snuff or snuff, cf. Section 34 d of the Tobacco Control Act.
Note that “new tobacco and nicotine products” cover e-cigarettes.
Nicotine products
“Nicotine products” mean any product that contains nicotine and that is intended for consumption by inhalation, chewing, absorption, in solutions or that is consumed in another way, with the exception of tobacco products, cf. first paragraph.
