Sales Restrictions

Violations of the ban on vending machines sales are punishable by an administrative fine of between 50,000 and 250,000 TL.
Violations of the ban on internet sales are punishable by an administrative fine of between 20,000 and 100,000 TL. Where internet sales take place, access will be blocked in accordance with Law No. 5651 dated 4/5/2007 on the Regulation of Broadcasts on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed Through the Use of Such Broadcasts.
Administrative fines will be increased for the first and second repeat offenses taking place within the same year. In the case of a third subsequent offense within the same year, the business premises will be closed for ten days to one month.
Location-based Sales Restrictions
Violations of location-based sales restrictions are punishable by an administrative fine of 1,000 TL. Administrative fines will be increased for the first and second repeat offenses taking place within the same year. In the case of a third subsequent offense within the same year, the business premises will be closed for ten days to one month.
Minimum Retail Package Size
Violations of the 2019 Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Related to the Production Methods, Labeling and Surveillance of Tobacco Products are punishable under the provisions of Law No. 4207, Law No. 7223 (replacing Law No. 4703), and Law No. 4733. However, the exact penalties to be imposed are uncertain.
Minimum Legal Sales Age
Violations of the ban on sales to persons below the age of 18 are punishable by imprisonment of six months to one year.
