Violations of the sales restrictions are subject to different penalties depending upon the risk to health, the offender’s economic capacity, the social repercussion of the offense, the benefit the sanctioned conduct may yield to the offender, whether the offender is a minor, and the offender’s recidivism.
The range of penalties includes: (1) fines from 10 balboas to 100,000 balboas, depending on the severity of the offense; (2) a written warning; (3) temporary suspension of activities; (4) closure of the establishment; and (5) seizure of the product or articles affecting public health.
Location-based Sales Restrictions
