Disclosure Requirements
Disclosure by manufacturers and importers of cigarettes to government authorities of information on the contents and/or ingredients used in the manufacture of their cigarettes

Manufacturers and importers of tobacco products are required to submit, for each brand name and each product type, a list of all ingredients and quantities thereof used in the manufacture of the tobacco products, in descending order of the weight of each ingredient included in the tobacco products. In addition, manufacturers and importers of cigarettes and roll-your-own tobacco must submit a general description of the additive used and their properties. This information must be submitted prior to the placing on the market of a new or modified tobacco product and whenever the composition or other information regarding a tobacco product is changed in a way that affects the information provided.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it requires disclosure by manufacturers and importers to government authorities of information on the contents and/or ingredients used in the manufacture of their cigarettes.

Manufacturers and importers of tobacco products are required to submit, for each brand name and each product type, emissions levels for tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide, as well as information on emissions levels for emissions other than tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide. This information must be submitted prior to the placing on the market of a new or modified tobacco product and whenever the composition or other information regarding a tobacco product is changed in a way that affects the information provided.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it requires disclosure by manufacturers and importers to government authorities of information on the emissions of their cigarettes.
Disclosed information readily available to the public

Disclosed information that is not specified as a trade secret by a manufacturer or importer must be made publicly available.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it requires that disclosed information be made readily available to the public.
